Beyond Therapy

Outside of my practice, I love spending time in nature, swimming, and exploring the vibrant culinary scene in Houston. You’ll often find me getting lost in a great book, enjoying time with family and friends, or cheering on tennis and college sports. I value personal connection, continuous learning, and the beauty of everyday moments—principles that guide both my personal life and my approach to therapy.

About Me

Helping others heal and grow has always been my passion. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW, License #63980) serving clients in Texas, I bring a compassionate, individualized approach to therapy, recognizing that each person’s journey is unique. My goal is to foster an environment where you feel safe, heard, and empowered in your healing process.

Education & Professional Background

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, with a minor in Communication, and later completed my Master’s degree in Social Work, specializing in Behavioral Health, at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work. Over the years, I have worked with individuals, couples, and families, helping them navigate life’s challenges—from anxiety and depression to eating disorders, trauma, and relationship difficulties. My experience has reinforced my belief in therapy as a powerful tool for transformation, self-acceptance, and resilience.

My Commitment to You

I believe true healing begins when we embrace our authentic selves. In therapy, I strive to create a non-judgmental space where we explore your emotions, uncover patterns, and develop practical strategies for growth. Whether we’re addressing religious and spiritual trauma, body image concerns, or life transitions, my priority is to support you in building emotional resilience and a greater sense of self-compassion.

My Approach to Therapy

I believe that therapy should be as unique as the person seeking it. That’s why I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities, tailoring each session to fit your specific needs and goals. My approach integrates:

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

  • Solution-Focused Therapy

  • Emotion-Focused Therapy

  • Family-Based Treatment (FBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Motivational Interviewing (MI)

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Throughout our work together, I incorporate self-compassion and mindfulness, helping you deepen your understanding of yourself and the world around you. I also specialize in helping clients heal from religious and spiritual trauma, offering a safe space to process and reclaim their personal beliefs.
